After a less humid day on Thursday, the heat and humidity will build back across the Mid-Atlantic as we go through the weekend and into next week. It looks like the hottest day will occur on Monday with temperatures across the I-95 corridor around 100 degrees. However, the high humidity values will make it feel closer to 110 degrees. Widespread heat advisories are likely with the potential for an ‘Excessive Heat Watch’ around the Fredericksburg and Washington, D.C. area.
For our Delmarva Peninsula followers: The National Weather Service in Philadelphia/Mount Holly has issued an ‘Excessive Heat Watch’ for much of their coverage area, including all of Delaware and Far Northeast Maryland for heat indices up to 110 degrees.
