Ready for the heat? We haven’t seen much of that so far this year, due to a pretty chilly May. However, June is here and the pattern is changing to feature typical summertime warmth!
The first 90 degree day of the year is in the forecast on Wednesday. Highs will reach the low to mid 90’s east of the Blue Ridge. The humidity will be on the rise as well, allowing heat index values to be slightly higher than the actual air temperature.
The average high temperature for this time of the year should be in the low to mid 80’s east of the Blue Ridge. If temperatures do reach the mid 90’s, this will be 10 to 15 degrees above the typical average high for early June.
