Once again, another line of strong storms will be possible east of the Blue Ridge.
NAM 3km model shows spotty storms along the Blue Ridge, then becoming more numerous as they reach the Piedmont. These storms could possibly merge into one line before reaching the I-95 corridor.

The atmosphere remains very humid and soupy and any storm will likely produce very heavy rain. Some storms could produce gusty or damaging winds, along with frequent lightning.

High temperatures this afternoon will reach the mid-70s to lower 80s in the mountains, with upper 80s to lower 90s east of the Blue Ridge.
